Silicone is perfect as a material for casting molds because it acts as a natural release agent.
After curing, the silicone is elastic and highly resistant when working with epoxy resin, concrete, or other casting materials.
Our 2-component casting silicone Silimold is extremely elastic and, with a Shore A 22 hardness, perfect for making even demanding, reusable molds.
The silicone is characterized by its high elasticity and its thin-flowing and self-deaerating properties, allowing for the creation of detailed and bubble-free prints.
It is also soft and, above all, non-toxic. The mixing ratio has been kept very simple at 1:1, and the components are two-colored for better clarity.
RTV-2 silicone has natural release properties, meaning that no other release agent is required. The silicone is particularly tear-resistant and resistant to temperatures up to 180°C (briefly 250°C).
